SERVICE DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
About the role
The Service Development Director (SDD) is responsible for implementing business and marketing plans for the facility. They establish strategic marketing plans to achieve the facility's objectives, manage the marketing department's operating budgets and plans by territory, collect information for referring professionals and/or facilities, conduct pre-admission screenings as a liaison between the source and hospital, assist with care alternatives for patients and families, communicate results of the prescreening process and recommendations to the patient/family and referral source, lead sales representatives, provide educational services, promote mental health prevention awareness, develop positive relationships with community resources, and maintain collaborative relationships.
Responsibilities
- Establishes strategic marketing plans to achieve the facility's objectives.
- Manages the marketing department's operating budgets and plans by territory.
- Collects information for referring professionals and/or facilities, then meets with potential patients and conducts pre-admission screenings as a liaison between the source and hospital to obtain detailed information in determining admission eligibility.
- Aids with care alternatives for patients and families who do not meet the hospital's LOC requirements or program services.
- Communicates results of the prescreening process and recommendations to the patient/family and referral source according to company policy.
- Participates in the community development of services.
- Led the sales representatives and are available for consultative and provide educational services throughout the month.
- Promotes mental health prevention awareness.
- Develops positive relationships with community resources and networks to provide a seamless continuum of care and maintain positive collaborative relationships.
Qualifications
- A minimum of two (2) years experience in Sales or Development in healthcare and/or medical industry is required.
