Service Coordinator (VYG) Young Children

North Bay Regional Center (NBRC) is one of 21 nonprofit Regional Centers in California, offering a comprehensive program supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in Napa, Sonoma, and Solano counties. We partner with community-based organizations to empower clients to thrive and live as independently as possible within diverse communities. NBRC serves over 13,000 individuals and prioritizes bilingual (Spanish/English) skills.

About the Role

Under the general direction of a Case Management Supervisor, this role involves full-range case management, including intensive cases requiring high expertise. Responsibilities include implementing clients’ service plans, assisting with Lanterman eligibility determinations for children under "Provisional Eligibility" (ages 3-6), and occasionally acting in a supervisory or lead capacity (e.g., Officer of the Day or Acting Supervisor).

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of services to regional center clients, including those with intensive physical or emotional needs.
• Ensure the client’s Individual Program Plan (IPP) and its objectives are pursued and evaluated for effectiveness.
• Assist clients in utilizing public and private resources before accessing regional center funds.
• Monitor vendor services to verify compliance with purchase of service authorizations.
• Conduct annual reassessments of clients’ developmental status with the interdisciplinary team.
• Occasionally conduct client assessments.
• Support Lanterman eligibility determinations for children under "Provisional Eligibility" if assigned to young children (ages 3-6).
• Ensure appropriate community resources are made available to clients.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a field related to developmental disabilities, or a Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, special education, or nursing with three years of related experience. Minimum education requirement may not be waived.
• Fluency in a language in addition to English is desirable (bilingual Spanish/English preferred).
• Ability to provide personal automobile transportation during working hours and for after-hours emergencies, or access to reliable transportation meeting legal requirements.

All employment requires in-person interactions with clients, families, community partners, and coworkers. Candidates must live within commute distance of their preferred NBRC office and assigned clients. Hybrid work arrangements may be available after three months of in-office work, contingent on performance.

Pay

$62,244 to $68,652 annually, with opportunities for 5% increases each year.
