About the role
The Child Service Coordinator works under the direction of the Child Service Manager. This role supports children and teachers in various settings, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained. Key responsibilities include creating and implementing behavior plans, training staff on disability and social emotional topics, and assisting with program planning.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Regional Directors and Site Directors to address disability and mental health needs.
- Provide training and coaching on behavior plans as needed.
- Implement the Pyramid Framework with staff, partners, and parents.
- Support the development and implementation of educational plans aligned with Head Start Performance Standards.
- Ensure consistent mental health and disability guidance and professional development.
- Develop and implement systems for evaluating children and supporting those with behavioral concerns.
- Establish a data-driven approach for resource allocation and monitoring systems.
- Conduct classroom and individual child observations and provide feedback.
- Supervise and provide technical support to various staff members.
- Lead professional development and coaching/mentoring initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- Masters preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience working with children with disabilities and/or behavioral concerns.
- Experience in Head Start/Early Head Start and PFA/PI.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care.
- Experience with trauma-informed practices preferred.

Pay
$58,696 - $73,369 Annually
