Service Coordinator

About the role

A Service Coordinator at our Des Moines, IA location will take incoming service calls and schedule technicians for customer visits to address emergency requests and preventative maintenance services. You will coordinate part ordering, issue purchase orders, and assist customers with invoicing and billing questions. The role also involves assisting with the assembly of proposal and bidding documents, processing maintenance contracts and renewals, maintaining the customer database, and generating monthly reports. Additional administrative tasks may be assigned as needed. This position plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service to Ahern’s service customers in the Omaha, NE, Des Moines, IA, and Davenport, IA areas.

Responsibilities

• Take incoming service calls and schedule technicians for customer visits

• Maintain customer database information
• Generate monthly reports
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

• One to three years of administrative and/or customer service work experience
• Associate’s degree in an applicable program preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn industry-specific software
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
• High attention to detail
• Ability to multitask across multiple projects and scheduled maintenance at varying stages
