Service Associate - 37.5 Hours (Revere)

Starting rate: $22.00. Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and market factors; additional compensation may apply.

About the Role

Service Associates are skilled in the duties of both a Customer Service Representative (sales on the platform) and Teller (transactions at the teller line). This is a hybrid position primarily in specific traditional branch locations where authorized.

Responsibilities

Account Representative Duties

• Work toward achieving specific individual sales and service goals.
• Open deposit accounts.
• Prepare and process loan applications for various lending units (mortgage, consumer, small business, etc.).
• Close loans for customers for applicable business lines (e.g., consumer lending).
• Make referrals to other bank business lines and third-party partners.
• Proactively reach out, by phone and in person, to high-value customers to retain and grow the portfolio.
• Ensure operational compliance and adherence to policy.
• Handle daily account maintenance and other service issues as necessary.
• Understand and provide support in achieving quarterly sales goals.

Teller Duties

• Process deposits to customer accounts, including verification of cash, endorsements, and providing receipts.
• Cash checks for customers and non-customers according to bank policy.
• Process and properly record the sale of monetary instruments (e.g., official bank checks).
• Properly file all government-mandated reports related to large cash transactions and the sale of monetary instruments.
• Process foreign currency purchases and sales.
• Process various types of loan payments and credit card cash advances.
• Adhere to all bank policies and procedures in all duties.

Individuals in this position will split time between the platform and teller line, with occasional variation in focus.

Requirements

• Authority to use discretion in some circumstances; must seek guidance from a supervisor when policy is unclear or uncertainty exists.
• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Outgoing, self-starter with strong technical literacy.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of sales experience in a retail, financial services, or hospitality environment preferred.
• Some banking experience (e.g., teller or otherwise) is a plus.
• Basic business acumen and professionalism.
• Strong communication skills to convey information clearly and exchange accurate details.
• Ability to build relationships and strong alliances across the organization.
• Ability to quickly learn all details about the bank’s products and services.

Working Conditions

• Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods without breaks and with continuous customer contact.
• Must be able to transport items weighing 15 pounds or more.
