Service Associate - 30 Hours

Starting rate: $22.00/hour. Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and market factors; additional compensation may apply.

About the role

Service Associates are skilled in the duties of both a Customer Service Representative (sales on the platform) and Teller (transactions at the teller line). This is a hybrid position primarily in specific traditional branch locations where authorized.

Responsibilities

• Account Representative Duties:
  • Open deposit accounts
  • Prepare and process loan applications for mortgage, consumer, small business, and other lending units
  • Close loans for applicable business lines (e.g., consumer lending)
  • Make referrals to other bank business lines and third-party partners
  • Proactively reach out to high-value customers by phone and in person to retain and grow the portfolio
  • Ensure operational compliance and adherence to policy
  • Handle daily account maintenance and service issues
  • Support achievement of quarterly sales goals
• Teller Duties:
  • Process deposits, including cash verification, endorsement checks, and receipt issuance
  • Cash checks for customers and non-customers according to bank policy
  • Process and record the sale of monetary instruments (e.g., official bank checks)
  • File government-mandated reports for large cash transactions and monetary instrument sales
  • Process foreign currency purchases and sales
  • Handle loan payments and credit card cash advances
  • Adhere to all bank policies and procedures

Time will be split between platform and teller line duties, with occasional emphasis on one area over the other.

Requirements

• Authority to use discretion in some circumstances; must seek guidance from a supervisor when policy is unclear
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Outgoing, self-starter with technical literacy
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years of sales experience in retail, financial services, or hospitality preferred
• Banking experience (e.g., teller) is a plus
• Basic business acumen and professionalism
• Strong communication skills to convey information clearly and exchange accurate details
• Ability to build relationships and alliances across the organization
• Quick learner of bank products and services

Working Conditions

• Ability to remain stationary for long periods with continuous customer contact
• Must be able to transport items weighing 15 pounds or more
