Service Apprentice Technician

About the role

Rite-Hite Service Technicians install, maintain, and repair loading dock equipment and industrial doors at customer facilities. In addition, Service Technicians act as a technical resource for our customers and our sales force. This position works independently or in small teams in a field service environment and is a primary customer contact. As an apprentice, you will spend the majority of your time working closely with a senior Technician, learning our products and our customers and developing the skills needed to work on your own.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair loading dock equipment and industrial doors
• Act as a technical resource for customers and the sales force
• Work independently or in small teams in a field service environment
• Serve as a primary customer contact

Requirements

• Prior mechanical or electrical experience is helpful but not required (entry-level position)
• Ability to work independently in a field environment
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to work outdoors, at heights, and lift up to 100 pounds
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and DOT physical
