Job Summary
The Service Account Manager is responsible for leading the sales and full lifecycle management of mechanical services, including both HVAC and plumbing, for commercial and industrial clients. This role involves relationship development, technical solution selling, and coordinated project oversight to ensure work is scoped correctly, executed smoothly, and aligned with each customer's needs.
Responsibilities
- Create positive working relationships and maintain regular contact with assigned accounts and prospective clients.
- Build partnering relationships with owners, property managers, and decision-makers responsible for mechanical and plumbing maintenance and repair services.
- Develop and execute business plans for defined targets, including methods, contact strategies, and short- and long-term goals for contract, quoted, and T&M work.
- Identify customer objectives, operational requirements, and pain points.
- Renewable service agreements as a valuable and cost-effective partnership whenever feasible.
- Create competitive, high-quality, and timely estimates and proposals.
- Aid in developing and presenting marketing materials.
- Seek in-house technical support as needed.
- Track renewal dates and ensure proactive communication.
- Act as the customer's advocate when issues arise.
- Maintain strong working relationships with Service Operations personnel.
- Support the collection process.
- Attend and present at relevant trade shows.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience in related field with strong emphasis on business or an equivalent amount of technical training and practical experience, or, a minimum 2 years of mechanical service, construction, or related experience.
- Strong understanding of Murphy’s policies and capabilities.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate and close sales.
- Professional presence and communication capability.
- Self-motivated and independent with strong teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong work ethic aligned with Murphy values.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Salesforce.
- Ability to meet jobsite access requirements.

Pay
This role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $85,000 to $115,000 per year.
