About the role
As a Server Systems Administrator within Epic's Hosting entity, you will ensure our systems are in optimal condition, supporting healthcare organizations through Epic's software. Your responsibilities include developing tools for operating systems, troubleshooting and debugging code, monitoring system health, creating disaster and contingency plans, sharing expert knowledge, coordinating with third-party hardware vendors, and collaborating with various departments.
Responsibilities

- Share expert knowledge in systems and database administration
- Coordinate with third-party hardware vendors
- Collaborate with developers, technical support, software testers, and implementation specialists
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, MIS, or other hard science
- History of academic and professional success
- Knowledge of Linux or Windows system administration, virtualization, scripting, automation, or DevOps processes (preferred)
- Willingness to travel 1-2 weeks per year
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
