Server Systems Administrator
About the role
As a Server Systems Administrator within Epic's Hosting entity, you will ensure our systems are in optimal condition to support healthcare organizations using Epic's software. Your responsibilities include developing tools for operating systems, troubleshooting and debugging code, monitoring system health, creating disaster and contingency plans, sharing expert knowledge in systems and database administration, coordinating with third-party hardware vendors, and working on systems that push the edge of technology.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with developers, technical support, software testers, and implementation specialists
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, MIS, or other hard science
- History of academic and professional success
- Knowledge of Linux or Windows system administration, virtualization, scripting, automation, or DevOps processes
- Willingness to travel 1-2 weeks per year
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
