Server (Part-Time - AM Shift, Temporary) - Fork Lore (Hilton Hotel)

About the role

Biltmore Farms invites you to join our team as part of the Vanderbilt legacy of hospitality. As a Fork Lore Server, you will play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork as per standards of service
• Create a warm, inviting atmosphere when interacting with guests and assist in ensuring that the guest has a positive experience
• Guide guests through all phases of their Biltmore Farms restaurant experience from greeting and seating to servicing with a smile
• Familiarize yourself with menus, ingredients, presentation and proper food service standards
• Complete all duties and procedures as put forth by our Restaurant Management Team
• Train in restaurant, as well as banquet-style service
• Have a "can-do", pleasant and upbeat attitude while providing exceptional service to our guests
• Be proactive and anticipate guest needs and resolve issues quickly

Requirements

• Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. on a tray or arm service where it applies
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time and be able to walk, stoop and bend frequently
• Good communication and working knowledge of the food and beverage industry including ability to lift and carry trays are must-haves
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of experience in the Food Service Industry is a plus
• At least one year in a hotel setting is preferred
• Have a working knowledge of food and wine
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills; be flexible and willing to work wherever needed

Pay
