Server/Bartender- JOEY Newport Beach

About the role

This position is eligible for tips. Duties include providing guests with friendly and attentive service, assisting with menu navigation, ensuring timely order input, monitoring and delivering beverage and food orders, preparing final checks, and resolving service issues. Basic Qualifications include 1-3+ years of customer service experience, valid Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Show guests what Iconic Hospitality means by recommending favorite beverage and food items based on their preferences and dietary needs.
• Utilize extensive menu knowledge to make recommendations and ensure timely and accurate order input in the POS system.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming presence, engaging guests with genuine warmth and care.
• Monitor and assist with the delivery of guest beverage and food orders.
• Prepare final guest checks in a timely manner and handle payments securely.
• Resolve service issues and guest complaints with a sense of urgency, poise, and good judgment.
• Follow all food and alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years customer service experience (or high potential with less experience).
• Valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications.
• Possess a passion for hospitality and a proven track record of creating world-class hospitality experiences.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
• Able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks; and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Pay

$16.90 per hour for both Server and Bartender positions.
