Server Assistant - Fine Dining - Calusso

About the role

Pier Sixty-Six Resort, a luxury waterfront property in Fort Lauderdale, seeks a seasoned Server Assistant – Fine Dining to support Calusso Restaurant. Join a team of over 600 talented professionals delivering exceptional service in a 32-acre resort featuring 325 guest rooms, 91 Private Resort Residences, 12 restaurants and lounges, a spa, curated pools, and waterfront retail and dining.

Responsibilities

• Clear and reset tables using tray service
• Prep for service and transport used plates, utensils, and drinkware to dishwashing area
• Attend to detail, problem-solving, and special requests
• Provide highest-quality service to guests
• Arrange dining room to accommodate guest counts
• Work as a team in a fast-paced, five-star environment
• Set up dining room according to Calusso standards
• Keep restaurant organized and clean throughout shifts
• Stock trash cans, soda, plates, utensils, and to-go containers at shift start
• Maintain cleanliness of China, glassware, and work areas
• Complete closing duties: restock items, turn off lights, etc.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
• Use clear, professional language with guests and team members
• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages
• Set tables to service standards
• Welcome and acknowledge guests per company and Forbes standards
• Run food and bus tables
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team goals
• Adhere to quality expectations and standards
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 20 pounds without assistance
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by servers and supervisors

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED recommended
• TIPS certified or willing to certify within 30 days of hire
• Current Food Handlers card
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational individual
• Fluent in English (speak, read, write, comprehend)
• Ability to implement and uphold service standards
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to interact professionally with associates and guests
• Composure and adaptability in high-pressure, stressful situations
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
• Skilled at multitasking with accuracy
• People-oriented, flexible scheduler, passionate about serving others
