Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables using tray service
- Prep for service, including taking used plates, utensils, and drinkware to the dishwasher area
- Attention to detail and problem-solving for special requests
- Provide the highest quality of service to customers
- Arrange the dining room to accommodate the number of guests
- Work as a team in a fast-paced, five-star-rated environment
- Set up the dining room area according to Calusso restaurant standards
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the restaurant throughout the day
- Set up trash cans, soda, plates, utensils, and to-go containers at the start of the shift
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, China, glass, etc.
- Complete closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Use clear and professional language when speaking with others
- Adhere to quality expectations and standards
- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
- Set tables according to service standards
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company and FORBES standards
- Run food and bus tables
- Anticipate and address guests' service needs
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
- Support the team to reach common goals
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Servers and Supervisors
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED recommended
- Must be TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire
- Must have a current Food Handlers card
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivational individual
- Ability to speak, comprehend, read, and write English
- Ability to implement and uphold service standards
- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments
- Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to multitask
