Server Analyst - Infrastructure Technician

About the role

The Managed Systems team currently consists of 12 personnel, and this new position will make the team 13. The team conducts annual infrastructure efforts around the refresh of End of Life / End of Support hardware. There are also major efforts around Cyber Resiliency and new datacenter migration.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily operational, on-call, and weekend support for VMware and SAN technologies across all Lines of Business (LOBs).
• Administer and deploy infrastructure including hardware, software, and various configurations.
• Provide administration and maintenance of user devices and communications links to assure operational availability.
• Administer and test server hardware and software.
• Perform remedial maintenance of server devices, including the restoration of hardware and software.
• Administer use, capacity, and performance of server systems.
• Focus on multiple aspects of server operations across multiple platforms.
• Work with end users and vendors to resolve server issues.
• Support infrastructure refresh initiatives involving End of Life / End of Support hardware.
• Support Cyber Resiliency initiatives and new datacenter migration efforts.
• Provide operational support for VMware and SAN environments, including on-call and weekend support.

Requirements

• Required Skills: VMware & SAN Storage
• Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree; OR 4 years of job-related work experience; OR 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree.
• Required Work Experience: 6 years of server or other job-related experience.

Qualifications

• Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree
• Preferred Work Experience: 7 years of experience working in infrastructure/server environments performing analysis (hardware and/or software), planning, and implementation.
• Preferred Licenses & Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
