About the role
The role involves overseeing Valet, KeyBooth, Entertainment Chauffeur and Transit operations within the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort. This position requires a strong background in transportation and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain proper servicing of all route destinations.
- Coordinate Transit Drivers for off-property transportation needs.
- Ensure federal and state DOT regulations are followed.
- Monitor and track ETAs for entertainer transportation.
- Log and track all maintenance and repair issues for shuttle buses and fleet vehicles.
- Review video footage and investigate any issues.
- Prepare and maintain employee schedules; monitor punch cards; follow up on schedule changes.
- Enforce and document attendance policies.
- Provide direction and guidance to staff on productivity and efficiency.
- Conduct proper training for new team members and re-training for existing team members.
- Address guest complaints and report incidents to the Transportation Shift Manager.
- Regulate traffic during special events, concerts, and weather conditions.
- Prepare associate evaluations and assist in investigating performance and attendance issues.
- Investigate guest claims of damage, theft, and service failures.
- Perform daily valet performance reports and inform Shift Manager and Transportation Manager.
- Review daily supplies for par levels.
- Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years old.
- Three years Transportation experience OR five years customer service experience.
- Pass background check.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or related field.
- One year supervisory experience in a hospitality environment.
- Valid Chauffeurs License.
- Valid State of Michigan Drivers License.
- Tribal Drivers License if using Motor Pool Vehicle.
Skills
- Knowledge of vehicle operation.
- Knowledge of windows operating system.
- Knowledge of driving directions for local area and all outlying airports.
- Knowledge of basic record keeping.
- Knowledge of safe and efficient practices while driving and parking vehicles.
- Ability to guide and lead the work of others.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work extended hours and various work schedules.
- Ability to service customers in a professional appearance and manner.
- Ability to follow instructions and abide by department, policies and procedures.
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
