Sentinel Portfolio Analyst

Summary Of The Position

We seek a detailed, motivated, and experienced strategist to join our Sentinel team, servicing our Family Wealth and Family Office clients. This individual should have in-depth knowledge of financial markets, investment solutions and family office clients with intricate ownership structures. This role will join our Sentinel advisors in prospecting; client engagements aligning investment strategy with client goals and communicating portfolio decisions clearly and proactively.

Responsibilities

• Support advisors in proposal creation for UHNW clients, conducting an analysis of the prospects current investments and producing a recommended allocation and transition plan.
• Aiding advisors in prospect and client meetings, providing support on investment reviews and addressing any investment-related questions.
• Ongoing engagement with Sequoia Investment Research to maintain a deep understanding of investment solutions and ongoing investment management activity.
• Tracking contributions, withdrawals, capital calls, and distributions while maintaining accurate liquidity needs within the client's portfolio.
• Continuously monitoring portfolio allocations for drift relative to IPS guidelines, identifying variances from target ranges and recommending rebalancing when appropriate.
• Overseeing portfolio transitions to Sentinel target asset allocations, factoring in tax impact, liquidity windows, and clients' risk objectives.
• Conducting indication of interest analyses for pending investment opportunities, factoring in capacity and recommended sizing.
• Proposing transition and rebalance opportunities to advisors, often with a multiple phased approach.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-5 years of experience in wealth or investment management
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple tasks
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across the organization through both verbal and written communication
• Intermediate understanding of public and private markets including investment structure
• Strong proficiency in Excel (running and creating functions, pivot tables, and charts)

Working Conditions

Frequent minimal physical effort such as sitting, prolonged periods working on a computer, standing and walking is required for this role. Depending on location, occasional moving and lifting light equipment and/or furniture may be required. This role may require occasional travel, including travel to client sites, company offices, or industry events, as needed.
