Portfolio Analyst
Responsibilities
Aid in reviewing projects and programs from initiation to closeout, ensuring they align with organizational asset investment strategies, financial targets, and benefits.
Oversee and guide project/program teams in developing comprehensive business cases and ensure adherence to governance functions and guidelines.
Navigate the new enterprise governance process, implement consistent methodologies, and enhance communications throughout the project lifecycle.
Analyze portfolio-level financial control, resource utilization, risk, change management, benefits, unplanned work, and compare planned versus actual/forecasted data.
Review significant initiatives, projects, or programs that deviate from assigned portfolio's strategic and/or financial objectives, and recommend actions such as continuation, modification, suspension, or termination.
Create monthly and ad hoc status reports and graphs illustrating cost and schedule performance, conducting trend analysis and highlighting issues, conflicts, and key milestones.
Pursue continual improvement efforts to ensure portfolio and controls deliverables are accurate, relevant, and beneficial to key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Possess a customer-centric mindset - responsive to requests.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with SharePoint is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of project/program/portfolio management techniques and methods.
- Adaptive, flexible, interactive, and results-oriented.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of articulating ideas clearly and concisely.
- Working knowledge of performance evaluation and Change Management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to understand technical issues at a high level when collaborating with engineers and other technical specialists.
- Ability to make recommendations and inspire change across various organizational levels.
- A proactive approach to tackling a wide range of issues.
