Senior Waterproofing Estimator
General Coatings Corporation, one of Southern California’s largest and most respected commercial coatings contractors, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Waterproofing Estimator to join our growing team in Corona, CA.

This is a leadership-level estimating position responsible for driving the preconstruction process on complex commercial waterproofing projects throughout Southern California. Responsibilities
- Lead the estimating and bid preparation process for commercial waterproofing projects of varying size and complexity
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and comprehensive cost analyses from plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Develop accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates that align with company objectives
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions during the preconstruction phase
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing
- Participate in project handoff meetings and support operational teams during project startup
- Track market conditions, labor trends, and material pricing to ensure estimating accuracy
- Mentor and support junior estimators while helping establish best practices across the estimating department
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop bid strategies and pursue key business opportunities
Requirements
- 7+ years of waterproofing estimating experience in the commercial construction industry
- Proven success estimating large-scale waterproofing, below-grade waterproofing, traffic coating, deck coating, air barrier, sealant, and building envelope projects
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project delivery methods
- Advanced knowledge of estimating software, takeoff platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of job costing principles
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, but equivalent industry experience will be considered
