Senior Water Design Manager

About the role

Arcadis is looking for a Senior Water Design Manager to join our Resilience Water Team with 10 or more years’ experience in planning, design and/or construction of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure including treatment plants and pump station projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated engineer to support one of the best-qualified municipal consulting firms in the country.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead designer and/or design manager of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure including treatment plants, pump stations, and hydraulic structures such as intakes and/or gate projects.
• Utilize engineering judgement to develop solutions to complex water infrastructure challenges.
• Coordinate with clients, Project Managers, and multidisciplinary teams during all project phases, from schematic design to construction.
• Engage in our national process mechanical practice, serve as a technical resource for the region, and provide mentoring of junior engineers to grow our team’s capabilities in South Florida.
• Participate in Arcadis’ quality culture by performing quality assurance and control reviews of water infrastructure.
• Establishing client relationships and supporting pump station marketing and pursuit efforts.
• Scoping and budgeting tasks for water infrastructure projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Required Qualifications: 10 years of pump station design experience. Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field of study. Florida PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Key Skills and Attributes: Excellent technical engineering in design of water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure including treatment plants and pump stations. Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills and excellent technical writing skills. Experience managing preparation of and reviewing and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. Client relationship skills; including preparation and development of proposals and client management experience with a successful track record of delivering various engineering projects to the expectations of the client. Functional experience with MS Office applications.
