Job Summary
The Senior Vice President, Strategic Alliance Group is a senior enterprise leader responsible for driving retention within the SAG portfolio and influencing growth through retention across the defined Business and Industry Super Sector portfolio. This role serves as a strategic partner to the Super Sector CEO and leadership team, with accountability for portfolio health, client partnerships, and growth through retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to the Super Sector CEO, contributing to sector strategy, client engagement, and retention priorities
- Own retention in respective SAG accounts and influence growth through retention outcomes across the total portfolio within the Super Sector
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Key Account Manager(s), Directors and Administrative Support aligned to the super sector
- Ensure proactive portfolio management, including segmentation, prioritization, and resource alignment
- Drive growth through retention by enabling expansion, cross-sell, and innovation across accounts
- Support contract extensions, renegotiations, and rebid processes
- Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with key clients across the sector
- Partner with operators, sales, and support teams to deliver coordinated, enterprise-wide solutions where applicable
- Ensure consistent execution of retention strategies, processes, and best practices within the SAG portfolio; influence adoption across the sector
- Leverage data and insights to monitor portfolio health, anticipate risk, and inform decision making
- Participate in annual strategic business reviews and sector-level planning with both internal and external stakeholders
- Act as a connector across Compass, aligning capabilities and resources to meet client and sector needs

- Demonstrates strong executive presence and credibility with senior leaders, including Super Sector CEOs and client executives
- Operates with a portfolio and enterprise mindset, balancing strategic direction and execution

- Navigates complex stakeholder environments and aligns multiple parties toward shared outcomes

Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in senior leadership roles managing large, complex portfolios or business lines
- Demonstrated success driving both retention and growth in client-based or service organizations
- Strong strategic thinking, commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing P&L or similar responsibilities
- Experience engaging with executive-level stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Track record of building and leading high-performing teams
- Experience in foodservice, hospitality, facilities management, or related industries preferred
- Strong communication, influencing, and leadership skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed, enterprise environment
Role Scope
- Super Sector aligned with accountability for respective SAG accounts and influence total portfolio performance
- Oversight of Key Account Manager(s), Directors and Administrative Support within the SAG portfolio of the defined super sector
- Direct partnership with Super Sector CEO and leadership team
- Enterprise-wide collaboration across sales, operations, and support functions
