The VP/Senior Vice President, Strategic Partnerships role is focused on building and scaling a strategic partnership ecosystem that accelerates innovation, customer value, and business growth. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute a multi-year strategic partnerships and business development strategy aligned with organizational growth priorities.
  • Identify emerging technologies, companies, platforms, and ecosystem trends that can create competitive advantages and new customer value.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with founders, CEOs, investors, product leaders, and technology executives across AI, cloud, infrastructure, SaaS, commerce, security, identity, and digital ecosystems.
  • Evaluate opportunities to build, integrate, distribute, license, invest in, or partner with innovative technology companies.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to accelerate roadmaps through strategic integrations, embedded experiences, and technology partnerships.
  • Translate emerging technologies and market shifts into actionable opportunities, proof-of-concepts, and scalable customer solutions.
  • Create joint product strategies and collaboration frameworks with key technology partners.
  • Structure and negotiate complex strategic agreements, including technology partnerships, licensing models, commercial agreements, and joint ventures.
  • Identify new business models, distribution channels, and ecosystem opportunities that expand market reach and customer impact.
  • Lead business reviews, planning sessions, and long-term collaboration.
  • Establish the operating model, processes, and capabilities required to scale a high-performing strategic partnerships function.
  • Build and lead a team focused on identifying, activating, and managing high-impact technology and business partnerships.

Requirements include:

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience across strategic partnerships, business development, product, technology, corporate strategy, venture capital, private equity, or related technology ecosystem roles.
  • A proven ability to connect market trends with business opportunities and successfully move strategic concepts into execution.
  • A strong understanding of AI, cloud infrastructure, SaaS platforms, developer ecosystems, commerce, security, identity, or digital technology landscapes.
  • Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Strategy, and commercial teams to move initiatives from concept through execution and scale.
  • A proven ability to negotiate and structure complex technology, licensing, platform, or strategic partnership agreements.
  • Previous leadership experience in strategic partnerships, product leadership, general management, or technology-focused business development.
  • An exceptional executive communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • A strong commercial judgment with the ability to balance customer value, strategic impact, financial outcomes, and long-term opportunities.
  • The ability to operate in a fast-moving environment with a high degree of ownership, curiosity, and adaptability.
  • Experience building teams, operating models, and frameworks for scalable partnership execution.
