Senior Vendor Manager
About the role
The Automotive team at Amazon is looking for a highly motivated Senior Vendor Manager to own the P&L and relationships with some of the largest vendors in Automotive. You will utilize a wide range of skills and work across major functional areas such as inventory management, marketing, merchandising, pricing, operations, and finance to drive the performance of selling partners and act as the vertical lead for your category.
As a Senior Vendor Manager, you will be accountable for business results across the vendors and categories you manage. Your responsibilities will include managing the product portfolio, developing vendor relationships, negotiating terms and contracts, expanding product selection, setting prices, influencing inventory forecasts, developing marketing programs, driving sales and margin improvements, and creating best-in-class customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets by executing annual and ongoing vendor negotiations.
- Have a thorough understanding of the industry, business trends, events, and continually monitor both industry and competitor developments.
- Maximize Amazon’s business and financial profitability through selection optimization and expansion opportunities.
- Understand customer needs and use that knowledge to advocate for, and drive delivery of, improvements that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience.
- Build vendor/brand relationships—be the primary point of contact for vendor selection, on-boarding, escalations, and negotiations.
- Coordinate across cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, all while meeting tight deadlines.
- Own forecasting, analyzing, understanding, and reporting on the business, including the strategic context of internal and external variables that impact it.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of account management, project or program management, or buying experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL.
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration.
- Experience using data to influence business decisions.
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams.
Pay
USA, WA, Seattle - $121,200.00 - $163,900.00 USD annually.
