Senior UX Designer with Security Clearance

The Fun Stuff

• Define interface requirements by collaborating with users and stakeholders
• Collect and analyze user behaviors and needs through user research, including interviews, usability tests, and behavioral data
• Design user flows, sitemaps, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups that are intuitive and present a clear flow of information
• Distinguish what users say from what they actually do or need (people can be fun puzzles)
• Collaborate with teammates that may include other designers, project managers, developers, engineers, and product champions

The Necessities

• You have a bachelor’s degree in information systems, human factors engineering, or a related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Usability Engineering) and at least 10 years of experience (4 more years of experience can be substituted for a degree)
• You’ve mastered Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar software, to design sitemaps, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups
• You have familiarity with a prototyping tool such as Axsure, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Your design sensibility is refined and purposeful, and the artifacts you create are beautiful and functional
• Talking to users and soliciting their feedback is second nature, and you can articulate design concepts to a variety of audiences
• You have a working knowledge of both qualitative discovery methods (usability testing, contextual inquiry) and quantitative data collection methods (surveys, analytics review, A/B testing, card sorting, tree testing, session observation)
