Senior UX Designer

What You Will Do

• Work with the Lead UX Designer and other stakeholders to create a cohesive, player-first experience
• Be a hands-on developer in the creation of content for several interactive games and experiences based on Disney’s robust portfolio of characters and worlds including Disney/Pixar, 20th Century, Marvel and Star Wars
• Create wireframes and iterate on UI and UX systems and features
• Support bug fixes, implementation and UI layout creation using Unreal Engine and UEFN
• Participate in playtests to observe the effectiveness of UI usability, and collaborate with your lead and other stakeholders to improve user experiences
• Collaborate with other developers to design and build user interfaces that enhance the players gameplay experience
• Write, update, and maintain detailed design documentation

Basic Qualifications and Skills

• 5 years of game development experience, including at least one shipped game
• Developed content using Unreal Engine and/or UEFN
• Comfortable working in an iterative, feedback-driven team environment
• Strong team collaboration skills, working with designers and engineers to ensure the best user experience
• Familiarity with developing products on various gaming platforms – Console/PC and Mobile
• Experience creating UI mockups and wireframes using Figma
• Expertise at working with 3D game engines and understanding the strengths and limitations in regards to user interface design (big plus if you are familiar setting up UI materials)
• Able to communicate effectively with other teams and groups

#Gamesjobs & The hiring range for this remote position is $100,100 to $154,300 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
