About the role
STV is looking for a Senior Utility Coordinator for the Carolinas Utility Coordination Practice, based out of our North Charleston or Columbia, South Carolina offices. This position requires utility coordination experience for roadway and bridge replacement projects.
Responsibilities
- Supports QA/QC packages
- Maintains and drives project progress
- Serves as task leader for UC on projects
- Develops UC project deliverables
- Runs utility coordination meetings
- Mentors junior staff
- Trains, mentors, and monitors junior level coordinators
- Aids the regional head of utility coordination with project staffing, budgets, schedules, business development, and/or client interactions
Requirements
- Experience with SCDOT and/or a similar agency
- Extensive knowledge of the entire utility coordination process from design to construction
- Knowledge of construction methods for both utilities and infrastructure contractors
- Ability to manage multiple utilities throughout South Carolina
- Ability to identify and resolve utility conflicts related to roadway/bridge improvements
- Ability to summarize findings to clients
- Self-motivated, willing to travel (20%)
- Ability to manage schedules and budgets
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering or utility coordination experience
- Associate’s degree + 5 years of utility coordination experience as a minimum, or a four-year bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience with MicroStation/Geopak/Inroads and/or Civil 3D/AutoCAD preferred
- Competency in SCDOT plan reading required
Pay
$94,459.48 - $107,953.69
