Senior Traffic Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform and manage traffic engineering design and studies related to work zone traffic control, signing and pavement markings, traffic signals, lighting, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and traffic operational analyses.
• Work in a team environment, and collaborate with roadway, structures, hydraulics, and environmental groups within our Transportation business unit.
• Prepare design and cost estimates, meet with clients, and assist in proposal development.
• Manage various traffic-related tasks.

Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering
• PE license preferred, PTOE preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in traffic engineering
• VDOT, MSHA, MDTA and/or design-build experience preferred
• MicroStation experience required
• Proficiency with analysis software (VISSIM, Synchro, SimTraffic, HCS) preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Project Management and leadership skills preferred

Pay

The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $150,000*
