About the role
The Senior Traffic Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing traffic management systems to ensure safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain traffic flow models using advanced software tools.
- Conduct field observations and gather data to inform traffic engineering projects.
- Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and other engineers to integrate traffic solutions into city planning initiatives.
- Prepare and present technical reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest traffic engineering trends and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional traffic engineering experience.
- Knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in traffic simulation software such as CORSIM, VISSIM, or TRAFIX.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with traffic signal design and intersection analysis.
- Understanding of traffic control devices and their applications.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS).
- Knowledge of traffic engineering standards and regulations.

Pay
- $80,000 - $100,000 annually.
Schedule
- Full-time position.
