Senior Traffic Engineer

About the role

The Senior Traffic Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing traffic management systems to ensure safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain traffic flow models using advanced software tools.
• Conduct field observations and gather data to inform traffic engineering projects.
• Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and other engineers to integrate traffic solutions into city planning initiatives.
• Prepare and present technical reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest traffic engineering trends and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional traffic engineering experience.
• Knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency in traffic simulation software such as CORSIM, VISSIM, or TRAFIX.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with traffic signal design and intersection analysis.
• Understanding of traffic control devices and their applications.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS).
• Knowledge of traffic engineering standards and regulations.

Pay

• $80,000 - $100,000 annually.

Schedule
