Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Promotion
    • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
    • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
    • Engages with and maintains a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
    • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
    • Proactively uses tools such as CE3 to derive insights and dynamically inform call plans, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
    • Demonstrates scientific expertise and passion using approved resources to present medically accurate information to HCPs.
    • Conducts in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) discussing product-related scientific information consistent with label.
    • Organizes external speaker programs, selecting approved speakers and facilitating scheduling and logistics.
    • Maintains expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
    • Engages real-time medical support through Medical on Call to answer unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Proactively collaborates with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
    • Gathers and shares relevant insights internally to enable BMS to better serve its customers.
    • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing BMS conduct.

Requirements

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing roles.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to help physicians best serve their patients.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network.
  • Experience in Oncology is preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals with strong account management and selling competencies.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
  • Field-based role requiring 100% time spent with external customers.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing, at least 21 years of age, and a driving risk level deemed acceptable by the Company.

Pay

Field - United States - US: $144,500 - $175,100 starting compensation range for a full-time employee (FTE). Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate considers required skills, job location, work schedule, and relevant experience. Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience.

      • Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico, and Rayzebio Exempt/Non-Exempt/Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires (with manager approval), 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays.
      • Additional time off may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence (medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, military), and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Eligibility for benefits may vary based on job and location. The summer hours program is available to U.S. office-based employees, with exceptions for field sales, manufacturing operations, and certain roles. Employees covered under collective bargaining agreements should consult their specific documents.
