About the role
The Territory Account Specialist (TAS) is a critical role in our customer model, executing BMS’s aspiration to deliver impactful engagement with Health Care Providers (HCPs) and drive adoption of new and existing medicines for appropriate patients. The TAS builds and maintains strong professional credibility with regional thought leaders (RTLs), community-based physicians/HCPs, office staff, and other stakeholders in the patient care continuum as their primary point of contact. This field-based role spends 100% of time engaging external customers, prioritizing the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while focusing on business results and performance objectives.
Territory includes: Dallas, Plano, Allen, McKinney, Frisco, Garland, Mesquite, Rockwall, Midlothian, Corsicana, Tyler, and Longview.
Responsibilities
- Portfolio Promotion
- Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Create demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
- Maintain and grow scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Use tools such as CE3 to derive insights and dynamically inform call plans; provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
- Demonstrate scientific expertise and passion using approved resources to present medically accurate information to HCPs.
- Conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) consistent with product labeling.
- Organize external speaker programs, selecting approved speakers and facilitating logistics.
- Maintain expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
- Engage Medical on Call for real-time support on unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
- Gather and share relevant insights internally to enable BMS to better serve its customers.
- Comply with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies governing conduct.
Requirements
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing roles.
- Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to help physicians serve their patients.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining credibility with key customers, office staff, and stakeholders through a customer-centric mindset.
- Experience in Oncology preferred.
- Proven track record in account management, superior selling competencies, and meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
- Strong selling and promotional skills.
- Must meet "Qualified Driver" requirements, including:
- At least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license in good standing.
- A driving risk level deemed acceptable by BMS.

Pay
Field - United States: $144,500 - $175,100 (full-time employee basis). Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility. The starting pay rate reflects required skills, job location, work schedule, and relevant experience. Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience.
