Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Promotion
    • Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
    • Create demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
    • Engage with and maintain a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
    • Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans.
    • Proactively use tools such as CE3 to derive insights and dynamically inform call plans, providing feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
  • Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
    • Demonstrate scientific expertise and passion using approved resources to present accurate medical information to HCPs.
    • Conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discuss product-related scientific information consistent with label.
    • Organize external speaker programs, selecting approved speakers and facilitating scheduling and logistics.
    • Maintain expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
    • Engage real-time medical support through Medical on Call to address unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate proactively with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
    • Gather and share relevant insights internally with appropriate stakeholders to better serve customers.
    • Comply with all laws, regulations, and policies governing BMS conduct.

Requirements

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or preferred 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing roles.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to help physicians best serve their patients.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network through a customer-centric mindset.
  • Experience in cardiovascular preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals with strong account management and selling competencies.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills.

This position requires the operation of a Company-provided vehicle. Offers of employment are contingent upon meeting the requirements of a "Qualified Driver," including being at least 21 years of age, holding a driver’s license in good standing, and having a driving risk level deemed acceptable by the Company.

The role is field-based, with 100% of time spent in the field with external customers.

Pay

Field - United States - US: $124,090 - $150,370 (starting compensation range for full-time employees). Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility. The starting pay rate considers required skills, job location, work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience.

      • Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico, and Rayzebio Exempt/Non-Exempt/Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires (with manager approval), 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays.
    • Additional time off based on eligibility may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs, and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Year's Day.

All global full-time and part-time employees actively employed and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible for the Global Shutdown. The summer hours program is available for U.S. office-based employees, with eligibility varying for remote-by-design or lab-based roles. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document for eligibility details.
