Responsibilities
- Portfolio Promotion
- Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory or region to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Create demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
- Engage with and maintain a high level of scientific expertise in all assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans.
- Use tools such as CE3 to derive insights and dynamically inform call plans, providing feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
- Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue
- Demonstrate scientific expertise and passion using approved resources and publications to present accurate medical information to HCPs.
- Conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch and learns) and discuss product-related scientific information consistent with label.
- Organize external speaker programs, selecting approved speakers and facilitating scheduling and logistics.
- Maintain expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
- Engage real-time medical support through Medical on Call to address unsolicited questions and complex technical inquiries.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate proactively with other field teams to ensure the best Customer Experience (Cx) for HCPs.
- Gather and share relevant insights internally with appropriate stakeholders to better serve customers.
- Comply with all laws, regulations, and policies governing BMS conduct.
Requirements
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing roles.
- Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately and convincingly to help physicians serve their patients.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong credibility with key customers, office staff, and others in the customer influence network through a customer-centric mindset.
- Experience in cardiovascular preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals with strong account management and selling competencies.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.

This position requires the operation of a Company-provided vehicle. Offers of employment are contingent upon meeting the requirements of a "Qualified Driver," including being at least 21 years of age, holding a driver’s license in good standing, and having an acceptable driving risk level as determined by the Company.
Pay
Field - United States: $124,090 - $150,370 (full-time employee basis). Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility. The starting pay rate considers required skills, job location, work schedule, and relevant experience. Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience.

Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is available to U.S. office-based employees due to the nature of their work. Field sales, manufacturing operations, and some capability center roles may have limited or no eligibility. Remote-by-design or lab-based roles may qualify depending on job specifics. Employees under collective bargaining agreements should consult their documents for eligibility. Contractors and leased workers are not eligible.
Schedule
This role is field-based, with 100% of time spent in the field engaging with external customers.
