Senior Test Technician I-III
About the role
Senior Test Technician I: Master of Automotive/Industrial repair, diagnostics and associated technology. Carries out established test procedures independently and reports results. Fabricates test fixtures/stands, and prototype parts without guidance per design specs. Maintains logs, communicates test outcomes, and assists with data acquisition setup and troubleshoot, as necessary. Completes assigned project tasks and meets deadlines without supervision.
Senior Test Technician II: Designs and builds test fixtures, prototype parts and test stands. Analyzes and interprets test results and prepares summary reports. Recommends actions based on technical findings and test data. Participates in cross-functional problem solving and design reviews. Supports test equipment selection, calibration, setup, diagnostics, and teardown. Guides and mentors junior technicians and assists in test planning and project prioritization.
Senior Project Test Technician: Plans, schedules, and coordinates comprehensive test programs in alignment with project goals. Leads test execution, analyzes data, and reports results across multiple development initiatives. Leads and coordinates test equipment selection, calibration, setup, diagnostics, and teardown. Develops, refines, and improves test procedures, fixtures, equipment, and shop processes for vehicle development. Serves as a technical liaison and provides advanced consultation and training to engineers, technicians, and external partners. Drives improvements in testing efficiency, quality, engineering standards, and mentors technical staff.

Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent certifications.
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant mechanical or testing experience for Senior Test Technician I; 7+ years of relevant experience for Senior Test Technician II; 10+ years of relevant experience for Senior Project Test Technician.

Skills, Experience & Abilities
- Welding, machining, and fabrication experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude with vehicle, lift truck, or heavy equipment repair
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Experience with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel preferred for reporting and data analysis)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and quality standards
- Ability to safely operate lift trucks and related equipment
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Preferred: Experience with CAN systems, sensors, and vehicle communication protocols
- Advanced troubleshooting of DC/AC electrical systems
- Experience leading tests, mentoring others, or coordinating project activities
