Senior Tender Manager

The role of Senior Tender Manager involves leading the tendering process, integrating cross-functional inputs, and contributing to regional sales plans and long-term growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Developing commercial proposals and quotations in complex sales environments, ensuring competitiveness, profitability, and strong client value propositions.
- Leading (influentially, not formally) all functions supporting the commercial process, including technical proposals, schedules, sourcing strategies, execution plans, quality plans, financials, and investment requirements.
- Developing or supporting cost models associated with contract scope to ensure accuracy and alignment with commercial strategy.
- Revising and negotiating customer scope, pricing, contractual Terms & Conditions, and technical and financial aspects in collaboration with Engineering and Product teams.
- Preparing and presenting deal business cases for functional and leadership approvals prior to submission.
- Supporting operational, financial, commercial, and contractual risk assessments, including securing internal approvals for deviations from company standards.
- Ensuring compliance with internal processes and supporting governance and audit requirements.
- Collaborating with the Sales function to deliver annual sales plans and long-range strategic objectives.
- Supporting price benchmarking, competitive positioning, and bid strategy development.
- Managing standardized product offerings with predefined configurations and providing client advisory where required.
- Compiling and submitting complete tender documentation within defined timelines.
- Leading the process from Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ) through to handover to execution teams.
- Leading or supporting implementation of variation orders and contract amendments within backlog agreements.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; OR a degree in another field supported by strong analytical and mathematical capabilities.
- 8+ years of experience across Commercial Proposals, Costing, Contracts, Finance, Sourcing, Project Management, or Application Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience within the Energy Offshore market.
- Advanced to fluent English proficiency, both written and verbal.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt messaging across different audiences.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Proven capability to manage medium to high complexity scopes of work and contractual structures.
- The ability to coordinate multiple commercial opportunities simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities with attention to detail.
- Demonstrate resilience and the ability to perform under pressure and manage workload seasonality effectively.
