Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts for IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and other low-voltage building systems.
- Create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations using engineering software.
- Perform site assessments and generate technical reports.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide technical information.
- Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
- Provide in-process design reviews and technical assistance in resolving field issues.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in low-voltage technology engineering.
- Contribute to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG.
- Prioritize safety in all engineering work and identify potential safety risks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals.
- Participate in project interviews and presentations.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involving technical plans and specifications.
- Strong training, mentoring, and leadership skills.
- Ability to perform final quality control checks in your area of expertise.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to adapt to new challenges.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or related Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, related STEM field, or equivalent required.
- 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry.
- Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineering preferred.
- 11 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting or construction industry.
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in technical and analytical skills including principles of electrical voltage and current, digital and analog signals, basic IT networking topologies and protocols.
- Ability to mentor, train, motivate, and lead others.
- Strong training and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to adapt to new challenges.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $107,000 - $149,000, with individual pay based on experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Additional rewards may include bonuses and stock ownership options.
Schedule
This position requires regular travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays.
