About the role
IMEG is a leading design consulting firm with over 3000 employees across the US. We are seeking a Senior Technology Designer for our Columbus, OH office. This role involves leading design efforts for complex projects, working closely with a team of engineers and consultants, and providing technical solutions to clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts for IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and other low-voltage building systems.
- Create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations using engineering software.
- Interact with clients to understand their needs and communicate technical information effectively.
- Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication.
- Provide in-process design reviews and technical assistance in resolving field issues.
- Stay updated with industry trends and contribute to research and development efforts.
- Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or related Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, related STEM field, or equivalent required.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the building design consulting industry, 8 preferred.
- Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 11 years of experience in the building design consulting or construction industry, 12 preferred.

Pay
$107,000 - $149,000. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
Schedule
This position offers a flexible schedule with occasional overnight stays.
