Senior Technical Program Manager, Localization (Spanish-speaking)
About the role
Remitly is a uniquely global company. Our Global Experience team builds the infrastructure that ensures Remitly's products are tailored for customers both culturally and linguistically across the entire customer journey — including how we speak to the millions of Spanish-speaking customers across Latin America and beyond, where language quality directly shapes trust and conversion. As Senior Technical Program Manager, Localization, you'll own the Spanish experience end to end: running structured experiments, feeding customer data back into copy decisions, and building the AI-powered translation workflows that scale with us. You'll create the playbook here first, then extend it to other core languages — partnering closely with product, engineering, analytics, and marketing along the way.
Responsibilities
- Own the Spanish experience across product and marketing, tailoring strategy to regional Spanish-speaking markets rather than one generic treatment
- Design and run structured experiments, such as testing terminology and messaging variations, tied to clear conversion outcomes
- Build the feedback loop from conversion and customer data back into localized copy, and design that process as a repeatable framework you can extend to other languages
- Build and continuously improve AI-powered localization and content workflows for Spanish, from prompt design to feedback loops that raise output quality over time
- Partner with cultural experts and run user testing to validate that content resonates, not just translates accurately
- Manage localization vendor relationships and budget
- Partner with engineering and design to catch internationalization issues before they reach customers
- Drive tooling strategy and automation to support scalable localization pipelines
- Maintain terminology and style guides for human and AI content
Requirements

- 3+ years working directly on client-side product or marketing localization
- Experience building, fine-tuning, or optimizing AI-powered localization or content workflows (prompt design, model evaluation frameworks, feedback loops for continuous improvement), or strong aptitude to build this capability
- Proven ability to use customer and conversion data to inform localization strategy, including designing or interpreting A/B tests
- High proficiency with translation management systems (TMS) and the broader localization tech stack
- Strong stakeholder management across concurrent, cross-functional programs
