About the role
The Senior Technical Program Manager (Sr TPM), Global IT PMO leads enterprise-level, multi-domain technology programs across Vantage's global footprint (NA, EMEA, APAC), with primary accountability for strategic Global IT initiatives. This role operates at a systems and portfolio level, aligning sequencing across concurrent IT initiatives and shaping execution strategy for complex, cross-functional efforts spanning Enterprise Applications, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Service Management.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead enterprise-level, multi-workstream IT programs that span multiple business functions, regions, and intersecting platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, ERP, identity, networking, data platforms).
- Define execution architecture including sequencing strategy, cross-program dependency alignment, release/integration gating models, and environment/data migration approach for complex IT deployments.
- Align prioritization and sequencing across concurrent Global IT initiatives to reduce systemic risk and execution conflicts across the portfolio.
- Establish structured program governance frameworks for high-impact initiatives, including global data center IT modernization efforts.
- Drive alignment across IT, business, and external supplier/vendor leaders on scope boundaries, sequencing tradeoffs, and resource implications.
- Evaluate and prioritize complex interdependencies across concurrent IT programs — including platform, infrastructure, security, and data integration points — to optimize integration timing and reduce systemic risk.
- Anticipate scaling constraints, cyber/reliability exposure, and operational friction points (e.g., interfaces between Security, BMS, networking, and enterprise platforms) that extend beyond a single initiative.
- Proactively surface cross-functional tradeoffs affecting sequencing, capacity, vendor delivery, or operational readiness.
- Facilitate resolution of high-impact conflicts that require alignment among senior IT, operational, and business leaders.
- Ensure enterprise-level readiness, validation, cutover, and mitigation strategies are defined for IT programs with broad operational impact (including hyper-care for key application releases).
- Serve as accountable program lead for IT initiatives with significant operational and executive visibility.
- Advise senior IT, operational, and business leaders on sequencing strategy, feasibility constraints, and integration tradeoffs.
- Present executive-ready updates that quantify systemic risk, operational impact, business value, and decision implications.
- Shape fact-based recommendations to influence prioritization and execution strategy across the Global IT portfolio.
TPM Standards & Delivery Maturity
- Define and continuously improve Global IT PMO TPM standards, frameworks, KPIs/dashboards, and execution best practices.
- Mentor and guide Technical Project/Program Managers on program structure, sequencing discipline, risk mitigation rigor, and reporting standards.
- Elevate delivery maturity across the Global IT PMO through consistent program architecture, governance, and tooling improvements (e.g., ClickUp, ServiceNow SPM, JIRA, MS Project).
Program Direction & Domain Leadership
- Operate effectively in ambiguous and evolving environments, defining structure where none exists.
- Make significant domain-level decisions affecting IT program sequencing, risk posture, vendor engagement, and delivery outcomes.
- Exercise independent judgment in resolving complex cross-functional challenges, including those arising from concurrent data center, platform, and ServiceNow domain rollouts.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or related technical discipline and/or equivalent experience required. Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Engineering/IT, or similar) or equivalent experience preferred.
- Accredited professional project management certifications such as PMP/PgMP/PMI-ACP, Prince2, APM (PMQ/PPQ), CAPM and/or Agile/Scrum. ITIL and/or ServiceNow certifications a plus.
- Experience: 8–14+ years of experience leading large-scale, cross-functional technical programs in an IT/enterprise technology environment. Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-level IT initiatives with multiple intersecting workstreams (e.g., ServiceNow platform, ERP, infrastructure, M&A IT integration, data center migrations). Experience influencing senior IT, operational, and business stakeholders globally (NA, EMEA, APAC). Experience resolving systemic integration challenges and cross-program dependencies across enterprise platforms and infrastructure. Working knowledge of data center infrastructure, networking, and how IT interconnects with disparate systems such as Security and BMS preferred. Experience supporting automation-enabled or AI-driven IT and operational environments preferred. Vendor and supplier management experience, including partnering with procurement on pricing negotiation and SOW governance.
- Skills: Advanced systems thinking with ability to evaluate interdependencies across concurrent IT programs. Strong sequencing and execution architecture capability for multi-region, multi-platform delivery. Ability to identify and mitigate systemic risk across multi-domain IT initiatives, including cyber, data, and operational reliability risks. Executive-level communication and influence without direct authority. Ability to resolve cross-functional conflicts affecting sequencing and delivery.
