Responsibilities
- Reviews intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency.
- Ensures that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields.
- Amends draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text.
- Ensures proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
- Works with authors to revise products for narrative organization, and negotiates further revisions as needed.
- Affords assistance in the management of all J2 finished intelligence products approved for external dissemination.
- Researches and collects information from internal and external stakeholder subject matter experts as well as other sources.
- Analyzes, interprets, cross-checks and edits intelligence products, as required, to ensure accuracy and compliance with associated Intelligence Community guidance, to include but not limited to ICDs 206, 209, 501 and 710).
- Organizes information, determines optimum method of presentation, and creates content according to plan.
- Ensures completed materials fulfill the specified purpose and scope.
- Affords assistance in determining and supervising the production process for completed materials.
- Documents Operating Instructions (Ols) for Command wide programs and initiatives as assigned by the Government.
Requirements
- A minimum of 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years, and a master’s degree.
- OR - A minimum of 17 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years, and a bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of the labor category activities required to meet mission requirements.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with a Current Poly (within 5 years)
Skills
- Knowledge of intelligence community guidelines and policies.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Experience with intelligence product development and dissemination.
