Bloomberg runs on data, and in the Data department we're responsible for acquiring, interpreting and supplying data insights to our clients. Our Data teams collect, analyze, process, and publish the data that powers the Bloomberg Terminal — the data that ultimately moves the financial markets. We deliver this data, news, and analytics through innovative technology quickly and accurately.

The Content Acquisition (CA) department manages, acquires, and integrates content and data from Exchanges, Brokers, Sell-side, and other providers to drive the value of the Bloomberg Terminal and downstream products.

About the role

We seek a highly creative and motivated Senior Technical Account Manager to join the Exchange Data & Business team. In this role, you will collaborate with departments across Bloomberg—including Engineering, Sales, Networks, Enterprise Solutions, and Exchanges—to ensure the successful delivery of exchange products to our customers.

You will lead multiple projects simultaneously, combining responsibilities such as crafting business requirements, conducting analysis, collaborating with exchanges, interpreting new exchange announcements, and facilitating product releases through testing.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all technical aspects of market-data and news-feed projects driven by exchanges or Bloomberg, aimed at improving existing setups or adding new data/products.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of exchange products to Bloomberg customers by meeting non-negotiable deadlines.
  • Maintain relationships and coordinate projects with exchanges, including calls and visits as needed.
  • Act as the subject matter specialist for exchange data-delivery technologies and technical specifications, assessing the impact of changes.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to translate business needs into project requirements and communicate them effectively.
  • Translate exchange documentation and technical specifications into business deliverables for new exchange data on Bloomberg.
  • Prioritize projects and manage expectations for both internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate with the Data Model (DM) team to align with Bloomberg Data Model standards for market data movement and transformation.
  • Work with the DM team to design and release new features.
  • Conduct pre-production and post-release testing.
  • Run projects end-to-end, from requirements gathering to post-production release.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding issues with exchange market data or news-feed products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience in the financial services industry, including exchanges, market data providers, or financial institutions.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience working for an Exchange or in the Market Data industry.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with technical teams to release new features and products.
  • Strong critical thinking skills for product improvement and development.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and a technical mindset.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks and lean principles.

Skills

  • Knowledge of market data connectivity types.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Agile for product management, including writing requirements.
  • Understanding of protocols such as FIX, SFTP, HTTP, TCP, and others.
  • Experience with data analytics or business intelligence tools.

Pay

Salary Range: 90,000 – 125,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus.
