Senior Tax Manager
The Senior Tax Manager will be a key leader within the Tax Practice, responsible for managing complex client relationships, overseeing tax compliance and planning engagements, and mentoring a team of tax professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, family groups, trusts, estates, and privately held business clients.
- Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and estates.
- Lead sophisticated tax planning and consulting engagements for high-net-worth individuals, family offices, executives, entrepreneurs, and closely held businesses.
- Advise clients on wealth preservation, income tax minimization, estate planning, charitable giving, succession planning, and multi-generational wealth transfer strategies.
- Develop and implement tax-saving strategies for clients across multiple industries, including real estate, manufacturing, construction, professional services, and private investment partnerships.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners and affluent individuals on tax, financial, and business matters.
- Research and analyze complex tax issues and communicate recommendations to clients and firm leadership.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop Tax Managers, Seniors, and Staff.
- Review workpapers and ensure compliance with firm quality standards.
- Participate in business development activities, client retention efforts, and referral network development.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on clients and their businesses.
- Collaborate with partners and other service lines to deliver integrated tax, advisory, and wealth planning solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Active CPA license required
- 8+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Progressive experience managing complex tax engagements
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Significant experience working with high-net-worth individuals, family groups, and closely held businesses
- Demonstrated leadership and staff development experience
- Strong communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills
- Experience with tax software and research platforms
