Job Summary

Pay and Benefits
Salary: $80,000+

Supervisory Responsibilities
Assist in the supervision, review, and mentoring of tax staff by leading-by-example.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Utilizes professional experience on various tax consulting, planning, and compliance services for domestic and international corporate, partnership, and individual tax clients.
- Reviews previous year’s tax returns and current year’s financial records to identify missing or incomplete information or documentation.
- Maintains understanding and knowledge of changes in tax law by reading professional literature or attending tax seminars and training courses.
- Provides technical solutions to client transactions to ensure accurate tax reporting and planning. Prepares related documentation.
- Builds trust and rapport with clients
- Engages in the firm’s community outreach
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and meeting strict deadlines.
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Microsoft® Office (including PowerPoint), CCH Axcess, CCH Engagement , and other tax compliance and research software proficiency.
Education and Experience
- At least 3-4 years of recent experience in a public accounting firm. (Senior level experience preferred).
- Bachelor of Science/Arts in Accounting; Masters of Tax preferred.
- Auditing experience is preferred
- Tax experience required
- Experience with the preparation/review of federal and state corporate, partnership, and individual income tax returns, including larger multi-state business entities
