About the role

Tenax Technologies is seeking a Senior Windows Systems Administrator with a security clearance to join our dynamic team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows infrastructure, automation, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and configure pipeline automations using tools like Azure DevOps Server, GitLab, or Jenkins.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell to automate routine tasks and processes within a pipeline.
  • Expertise in virtualized storage solution design, planning, configuration, and troubleshooting using VMware environments.
  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and storage systems.
  • Create, deploy, and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) in an Active Directory environment.
  • Provision, monitor, scale, and optimize cloud environments using Azure and AWS.
  • Exceptional technical troubleshooting skills covering applications, services, servers, networking, and more.
  • Experience with project planning software such as Jira, Jira Service Desk, and Confluence.
  • Expertise in Azure Infrastructure Management, including virtual machines, networks, storage, and security solutions.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker Swarm.
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with identity management and directory services, specifically ADFS integration and LDAP integration.
  • Single Sign-On Integration (SAML, OpenID).
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools like Azure DevOps Server.
  • Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and related tools.
  • Experience with RedHat and Ubuntu operating systems.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and best practices.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks and process improvement.

Requirements

  • Active security clearance.
  • Security+ and IAT Level II certifications.
  • Computing environment certification/certificate of training.
  • 2+ years experience in automated infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
  • Proficiency in virtualized storage solution design and troubleshooting using VMware environments.
  • Expertise in system administration, including managing and maintaining IT infrastructure.
  • Understanding of Microsoft server infrastructure, virtualization, and networking principles.
  • Expertise in GitLab runners, including expertise in runner installation, registration, and configuring executors on various operating systems.
  • Strong communication skills for effective knowledge transfer and collaboration with sustainment teams.
  • Experience with Git, including using commands, branching, and merging, working with local and remote repositories, and effectively collaborating on version control.
  • Expertise in creating, deploying, and managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) in an Active Directory environment.
  • Experience with Azure Infrastructure Management, including virtual machines, networks, storage, and security solutions.

  • Experience with the SDLC, to include use of software source code control systems, artifact repositories, and code assessment tools.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks and process improvement.
