Senior System Engineer – Electrical Component Integration
We are seeking a motivated and technically strong candidate to lead system integration for the Electrical Components in ICE, EV, and Hybrid vehicles. This role will drive technical execution, integration, and cross-functional alignment for safety features and module delivery across vehicle programs.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end integration of a dedicated electrical technical package.
- Own technical coordination across hardware, software, electrical architecture, packaging, and manufacturing teams.
- Translate vehicle, system, and interface requirements into executable module-level engineering deliverables.
- Drive issue resolution, requirement alignment, and design tradeoff decisions with internal and supplier teams.
- Ensure module designs meet functional, electrical, environmental, manufacturing, serviceability, and vehicle integration requirements.
- Support system definition, interface management (brackets or direct mounting), and design reviews throughout the development cycle.
- Lead cross-functional discussions with counterpart owners for adjacent systems and modules.
- Use data-driven decision making to evaluate alternatives, manage risks, and support program timing.
- Provide technical direction to designers, engineers, and partner teams supporting the module.
- Support vehicle development forums, integration reviews, and program decision milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems/Software Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in mobility (automotive, aerospace…) electrical systems, connectivity, infotainment, telematics, or module integration.
- Experience with system integration, product development, and issue resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong understanding of requirements management, interfaces, design criteria, and technical problem solving.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and drive execution in a fast-paced development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering, applied mathematics, computer science, data science, or a related field.
- Experience with numerical optimization, design of experiments, surrogate modeling, regression, machine learning, or statistical analysis applied to engineering design.
- Familiarity with vehicle electrical architecture, packaging constraints, and design review processes.
- Experience using NX, Teamcenter, CAD/PLM systems, harness-design tools, or comparable engineering data platforms.
- Experience building Power BI dashboards or comparable engineering analytics solutions.
- Experience translating CAD or engineering design information into reusable parametric data structures.
- Familiarity with design-for-manufacturing, design-for-assembly, cost optimization, and structured engineering trade studies.
