About the role
The Senior Surgical Technician is responsible for surgical case preparation, facilitating surgeons' needs, and assisting with the terminal cleaning of the surgical suite/instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Allocates appropriate surgical supplies and instrumentation for cases.
- Passes appropriate sutures and instrumentation to facilitate surgeons' needs.
- Aids in the terminal cleaning of the surgical suite/instrumentation after procedures.
- Participates in advanced skills training to improve perioperative performance.
Requirements
- Graduate from a Surgical Tech Program.
- Complete competencies for all General Service Lines and 75% of Advanced Service Lines.
- Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.
- Unit-specific competency within 90 days of hire.
- National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- 3 years Experience as an ORT.
- 2 years Vascular Surgery experience.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include coursework/training, experience, and certifications as outlined above.
Skills
Advanced skills through advanced training and knowledge are required to actively participate in optimal patient care and improved perioperative performance.

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The base pay range is $36.74 - $54.16.
Schedule
This position is full-time and works variable shifts.
