Senior Surgical Technician - Per Diem Variable

About the role

This position is Per Diem and will work 8-hour, Variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing preference lists and picking the supplies and instruments for a procedure
• Performing a surgical scrub and preparing the back table with the appropriate sterile instrumentation and supplies
• Providing support intra-operatively by anticipating the surgeon's needs and passing him/her the appropriate instrumentation and supplies when needed during the case
• Completing the cycle by taking instruments and equipment to the decontamination area at the end of the procedure and putting away left over supplies and equipment

Requirements

• Successfully completed training as a surgical technician at an accredited school
• Upon hire: National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 3 years Surgical Technician in Operating Room

Qualifications

Required qualifications include coursework/training as a surgical technician at an accredited school, national certification as a National Certified Surgical Technologist, and national provider BLS certification. Additionally, 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technician in the Operating Room is required.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
