About the role

This role is a critical operational leader and strategic resource within surgical services. The Senior Surgical Services Coordinator drives complex scheduling, referral management, and financial clearance processes, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple clinical and administrative functions.

Responsibilities

  • Drives complex scheduling, referral management, and financial clearance processes, ensuring seamless coordination across multiple clinical and administrative functions.
  • Acts as a key liaison between surgical teams, revenue cycle operations, and executive leadership, championing workflow optimization and process improvement initiatives that directly impact patient experience and organizational performance.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships across multiple business units including the USFTGP supported department and ASC's, Hospitals or both depending on the surgical staff being supported.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to other coordinators, setting standards for best practices and compliance with institutional protocols.
  • Influences cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence, playing a pivotal part in advancing surgical services efficiency and supporting the success of the entire care delivery system.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in surgical services coordination or similar clinical/administrative role.
  • Advanced knowledge of clinic operations, scheduling, and financial clearance processes.
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR and understanding of clinical departments.
  • Experience supporting workflow and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate complex scheduling and referral activities.
  • Ability to mentor and guide other Surgical Services Coordinators.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree.
  • Required Associate's Degree.

Skills
