About the role
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for daily oversight and coordination of shipping, receiving, packing, and material handling activities in support of program execution within the Camden Maritime IS&E business unit. This role ensures efficient processing and movement of materials according to production schedules, customer contract requirements, and established operational procedures. This position provides front-line leadership, supports continuous improvement, and ensures consistent execution of company and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day logistics operations of the receiving, shipping, packing, and material handling employees.
- Support improvements in logistics operations, warehouse, shipping, and transportation processes by monitoring workflows, identifying constraints, and promoting best practices.
- Track quality, timeliness, and efficiency of logistics operations to support on-time delivery performance.
- Ensure proper cataloging, routing, documentation, and processing of shipments.
- Resolve issues or complaints related to logistics operations, escalating as appropriate.
- Provide coaching, on-the-job training, and daily guidance to stockroom/logistics employees; reinforce safety, procedural discipline, and handling standards.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, ISO requirements, and all applicable L3Harris policies and procedures.
- Review metrics and analyze performance data to support audits, continuous improvement activities, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all relevant procedures and processes follow current legislation, customer requirements, and company standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR, in lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in stockroom, warehouse, or shipping & receiving operations.
Skills
- Experience supervising warehouse, stockroom, or distribution center operations.
- Knowledge of material handling, warehousing procedures, and inventory control best practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and SAP ERP systems.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $66,000–123,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
