About the role

Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems, is seeking a First Shift Senior Supervisor for Facilities & Maintenance at our Springdale, AR campus. This position supervises employees and contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, equipment, and production machinery. The primary focus is providing leadership for all trades and overseeing multi-trade work orders and projects, including off-hours coverage and winter weather events.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line leadership and supervision to multi-trade personnel (Carpentry, Millwright, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Sheet Metal, etc.).
  • Lead process improvements, data utilization, and support creative, innovative solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members, management, security, EHS, internal customers, and contractors with minimal direction.
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance program, reduce unplanned downtime, and ensure the team follows all safety requirements.
  • Read and interpret building infrastructure, technology schematics, and blueprints.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree and 3+ years of experience in leadership, facilities maintenance, or leading building/infrastructure/maintenance projects; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience; OR
  • Associate’s degree/Technical School Diploma and 7+ years of relevant industry experience; OR
  • High School diploma or Military/Technical Training (e.g., A&P Certificate) and 9+ years of relevant industry experience.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM fields or Technical School preferred.
  • Personnel management experience in a highly technical environment, leading both hourly and salaried team members.
  • Knowledge of Arkansas and National Building codes.
  • Mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machine tools.
  • At least one of the following AR professional licenses: CSL, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC.
  • Experience consulting with management on building maintenance, construction issues, and machine maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, SAP, EMaint, Building Automation Systems, Power BI, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong analytical and process-improvement skills using LEAN and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/Six Sigma, QCPC, and RCCA), ideally improving EH&S recordables, metrics, and culture.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, including senior management.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD. The range is representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
