Senior Superintendent-Commercial and Healthcare Construction

About the role

Top ENR GC seeking a Senior Superintendent with Commercial group up large project background (Commercial, Commercial office, Healthcare, Education, Hospitality, Industrial, Multifamily) for projects in the SLC area. Must be willing to travel if needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of project life cycle management including project planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Supervise and manage all onsite construction activities for commercial, healthcare, education, K-12, higher education, hospitality, industrial, multi-family, and large-scale projects
• Ensure all construction activities align with the project plans and specifications
• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities
• Review work progress on a daily basis and resolve any emerging issues
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
• Ensure all safety guidelines are followed strictly at the construction site and maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists
• Conduct regular meetings with project stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns or issues
• Prepare and submit project reports and ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in commercial and healthcare construction
• Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines
• Strong understanding of construction project management, including experience with Hospital, Education, K-12, Higher Ed Construction, Commercial Office Construction, Hospitality, Industrial, Multi Family, and large projects
• Exceptional leadership and management skills with the ability to direct and coordinate the work of others
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals
• Proficient in using construction management software and standard office software including MS Office
